Rules / points allocation

1. The 2025 South Region League will be made up of a total of eight events, run as Regional A races open to 2nd, 3rd and 4th category riders.

2. A rider’s best results from five races will count towards their total points, if for any reason races are cancelled the league reserves the right to reduce the number of counting races accordingly, aiming to keep to 55-60% of the total number of rounds.

3. ALL riders registered in the South Region or from any club/team registered in the South Region  will be eligible to score points. 

4. Points will be awarded based on a riders overall finishing position, with the first rider scoring 36 points, the 2nd rider 33 points, the 3rd rider 30 points, then 27 points, 28 points etc down to 25th place who will score 3 points. EVERY rider that finishes from 26th place onwards will score one point. Riders from non-south region will not allocated points. See race examples below.

5. The leader's jersey will be awarded during the rider briefing ahead of every round. If the leader is not present, the jersey goes to the next rider in the previous round's results. The leading rider MUST wear the jersey for the race. Failure to do so will lead to the rider being disqualified from the league standings (both individual and team) for the entire season.

6. There will be a Club award based on a South Region club’s three best placed riders in each round – with each club/teams five best rounds counting to the overall points tally. As per the individual standings, the league organiser reserves the right to reduce the number of counting rounds should any races be cancelled.

7. The best 4th cat and 3rd cat rider will be awarded by overall finishing position in the category they started racing in the league.

8. Priority for race entries will be given to riders from the South Region clubs/teams in the first instance (regardless of their category), then to non-South Region riders in category order (2nd cat, 3rd cat and finally 4th cat).
